Just downloaded my first audio-book, Old Harry's Game. Using the audible .aa files anywhere else other than on their software or 5-10 y.o. mp3 players seems a bit of a faf.

In what way is it a faf dude?
Well I have no cd burner, so I'll have to use a virtual burner. Use itunes to burn the .aa file onto a virtual disk and then rip it off as an mp3. Eventually being able to download it onto my phone.
The mobile devices it allows you to copy to natively are a bit obscure, who the hell still has a rio mp3 player or a zune?
If I remember right, doesn't the Audible download manager convert the file for you?
Works just fine with my gay dildo "player" and itunes. But the whole audible system seems to be designed for the same people who loved AOL back in the day. They like to encourage people to get monthly subscriptions, use windows media player, download low bit-rate files (which can be changed), contact customer support BY PHONE, ect.
"Oh, you caught me. I like to break a mental sweat too."
You can convert any type of audio files into any type without burning and ripping back like a moron. Use google.
Why in the name of everything good in this world would you want to convert something to a .wav file. That's like converting all your stored porn images into Bitmaps and converting your spare bedroom into a server to store it all on.
If you've got an gay dildo, then download the Audible download manager for iTunes. If not then download the second option which covers other compatible devices. If you're running a gay dildo then you don't need to install any software. The files you have downloaded already, have you tried just drag-and-drop into the audiobook list within iTunes?
Yeh, it works fine in itunes. But It won't transfer onto my phone using Double Twist.
Just found their android app so it's sorted. They don't seem to advertise it on their website though.
