    Ralph Steadman?

    Stedman Graham?

I was bloody disturbed when I heard Dee and Lance talking about how a personal hero of mine 'Ralph Steadman,' illustrator of Hunter S.Thompson's books was getting into Oprah's 'cavernous vagina.' Please tell me they meant Stedman Graham.

That's a safe bet. Had no idea you liked Ralph Steadman. Peter is a massive Hunter S. Thompson fan.
While I really admire Steadman, I've also spent many a fitful night trying to sleep in his apartment with
    Dr. Gonz starring at me.

Now he's got the Fear and Loathing poster up.

I keep drawing Muppets and trying to replace them in the night, but he always notices.

That's awesome. This company do some pretty good Steadman covers for pretty much every device.

Oh wow, those are nice. I'll definitely pass that along and tell him you sent it.

Just recently came across a correspondence between Ralph and Hunter on Letters of Note,
in which my favorite line was "don't get pompous with me. I am not one of your goddamn sycophants".
He is definitely a man who knows how to work with a writer.

If you've got the time, this is a good listen.

That was very nice, the only Desert Island Discs I'd heard before now was David Mitchell's.
While he's always lovely, it did feel strange for them to interview a man who basically doesn't
    seem to like music.

Haha I sometimes think it's basically just an excuse for the BBC to do a radio interview with someone they think will appeal to a Radio 4 audience. I remember he picked Creep by Radiohead.

Oh yeah, strangely. They should have just called it, "David Mitchell's; All the Songs I Know".
Though one of them was Rainbow Connection, and I suppose that's all you'd ever need.

I loved the bit in the book about the Kentucky Derby, where Steadman nearly causes a riot when the people he has been sketching look at the results. No sense of humour some people.
