Ok. I'm a cock loving inbred medieval prick for asking this but why can't I embed video straight into my post? I tried adding with the button and the URL but it just shows the address in blue. I also tried to embed the video using the video sources embed button.

I don't know for certain. I have a suspicion it may have been a project by an amateur programmer and the auto load page with links and codes caused them an error so it's a work in progress.
They Banned me! WTF? Fuck that site. I'm gonna put a play-doh former in my ass so they can upload a cube of my shit.
