I saw one of your posts recently and it reminded me that you are in Hong Kong. Since Hong Kong is shamefully dedicated to the pursuit of making shitloads of money, and is situated somewhere between China and Japan, it must be stuffed to the rafters with super hot East Asian babes. Do you have any stories or pictures you can share with us?

As HK is by far the richest area in the region (Tokyo is 1800 miles away), HK is like a melting pot of people from the far east (Australia/NZ included) and Europe. There are virtually no nigger/Indian/Eastern European people here, though there are a few Americans and a few more Canadians. Basically the colonials that we do want.

The ratio of female to male is very high, with some very attractive women going after some not so attractive but quite wealthy males. HK is a difficult place to get a job as the salaries are very good, the cost of living is very cheap and you have the entirety of Asia spread out before you (hence, competition for employment is fierce). Two weeks ago I was Sail fishing in Malaysia, next weekend I will be in Viet Nam and the weekend after, Cambodia.

There are a lot of singles here and I believe the casual sex scene is vibrant. If you are looking for less complicated relationships the Wan Chai area plays host to the largest "persons of negotiable virtue market" in the region. catering for all tastes. i have wandered through the area but would not dream of tarrying there.

I have only been resident here for 3 months, so I am still establishing a social base. I do like to have separate social groups for separate activities Polite/risque/outrageous are generally good working headings, with little or no interaction between the disparate groups working quite well.

If I come across anything that is worthy of report I will let you know.

Life in Hong Kong does indeed have much to recommend it. I'm sure the many pleasures it affords you give an added piquancy to all the stories about bottom-of-the-pile failures you hear on the S&W podcast.

Why do you have a problem with that? There is an area here called Discovery bay. The population is 95% white (acceptable colonial) The brown people in the area are there to serve, they are bussed in and out apart from the maids who live in.

I know it must be hard to be part of a race that doesn't get to choose.... Well I say "know", to be honest, I don't, having always been on the choosing side. I surmise that the flip side of this inequality must be unpleasant, I will take your word for it.

It may not be as true now as when he said it, but as Cecil said "To be born English is to win first prize in the lottery of life." It still carries many privileges, many times and in many countries, I have walked away from potentially difficult situations because of my nationality. An upper class, British accent and dominant attitude is a wonderful tool for cowing the armed/police forces of ex colonial countries.

I realise that the above makes me seem like a total prig. I am from a upper working/middle class british upbringing, I have worked abroad for many years. Most of the time I am me, however, when needs must, I am perfectly happy to adopt the mannerisms that reach deep inside a conquered people and tweak all their subservience buttons. Tis a useful skill at times.

It only works in places that were colonies or protectorates. India, Sri Lanka, Middle east, large swathes of africa, etc.

In the UAE I knocked over a camel (this generally led to an 8 to 10,000 dollar fine) after a protracted argument with a young police officer, who really wanted to arrest me. I spoke to his CO who on finding out I was British asked me if I was crazy, I said he would have to be the judge of that, he laughed and I was released without charge.

In India I became embroiled with an argument in the street with 8 Indians. the police turned up, asked my nationality, told me I was free to go as they set about the Indians with long rattan whips.

While illegally fishing in Oman, an navy zodiac with 50 cal machine gun intercepted my boat. On checking my passport, the sailors told me they were trained by the Royal Navy, Britain was a great country and to be on my way.

I am not saying it is right, but, being British still holds kudos, large parts of the world. Australia. New Zealand, Canada and 51 other countries still have the drugmongering whore as head of state.

Britain as a country is fucked, that is why I don't live there and will not again. What I am talking about is the memory about what Britain and the british were. At the height of empire Britain ruled a goodly percentage of the planet. As colonial rulers they were generally well thought of compared to the rest of the colonial powers. all that is in the past but the good will remains.

Now, before this becomes a debate about angels and pinheads, let us agree to differ. I will continue to make use of my imaginary advantage and you can be assured that I am a deluded idiot.
