TV shows you dig/get excited about?

Supernatural, a bunch of Americana type stories and urban legends that just got off a long jag of a story arc. I'm looking forward to season 6 in a week or two and a return to one episode/one story one umph. A solid plus is that it has gals with natural noses and its own voice and way of telling its stories. Oh, and its got two bothers riding around in an old impala and a sound track of classic American rock. It is fucking solid.

When Supernatural first appeared I thought it was excellent, but I felt they overworked the sibling rivalry/who did daddy love the most angle to try and amp up dramatic tension.

If they had put in lots of spectral children and sexy succubi instead it would have been better.

I think your wish was granted in the later seasons. The first season was, to my mind, the weakest. Still ok, but if I hadn't started out a few years after the show came out I wouldn't have stuck with the show. Plus one brother in the first season was clearly fey and sounded fey and we're supposed to believe he's broken up instead of thrilled after his girlfriend gets killed.

Glad to hear that it picked up after the first series - reckon I'll give it another go.

I did like the car and the older brother with short, dark hair - he was cool and how I'd like to be if I drove round the country killing monsters from the pit. The younger brother was a bit of a fag baby.

Yeah but Sam hardened up a bit in the later series.

Really, Kitty, House? I gave up on the series when it became as predictable as a drinking game. Chug when they take patient to brink of death, chug when they switch diagnosis, chug when some storyline happenstance coincidence gives House a blinding insight into what is really going on and saves the day, chug when house is rude, chug chug.

Btw, one of the worst movies ever is coming up on the SciFi network in a week or so. It's called MegaFault with a pre-death Brittany Murphy and Erik La Salle, one of the last films she did and that he'll likely do as well. It's that bad, almost in a good way. It screams out for a drinking game.

The Lost room was a bloody fantastic mini series on SyFy, well worth a download that. The Wire is epic also.
Never argue with an idiot, they might be doing the same thing.
