If I remember correctly Finland has been in top three almost every time. Yes the press have their freedom, but unfortunately most of them use their freedom to spread lies or trying to hide the truth. Especially in news about multiculturalism or about (mainly African) immigrants.

According to our media multiculturalism is always good, and African and/or muslim refugees especially are a blessing to our country. If a Somali for example does something criminal (rapes for example) it's only because us Finns have treated him badly. Normally he would not rape but our racist society forced him to. If some politician or "thinker" says that we must decrease the amount of boat ppl, because our economy cant stand it the media immediately labels him or her racist, and claims that he or she only says things like that because he hates the skin color or religion of the boat people.

I have lost my faith in independent and objective media long time ago. Freedom of speech is not worth shit if you lie to yourself.

Hey Callmesam, whats the name of the Viking hero you guys got in Findland? The story sort of goes like this:

A priest came into an inn that was owned by a still Pagan believer. The wife told the Viking that the priest left the inn without paying and kept the money herself. So the Viking took to chase, and murdered the priest with a battle ax. Now he has statues all over the country and is a national hero.

If your press only prints the libertarian point of view, then your press is free and kleptocratic. If you've got both POVs, then "you've got a lot of work ahead of you", and if you mostly print facts, truth and criticism of the West, then you're a totalitarian Putin regime and you're number 142.

Those reports are largely used either as political leverage, or to drop your country's economy on Wall Street.

Ironically I just stopped being libertarian. So...
