    World's worst suicide attempt

    I think I may have witnessed the world's worst suicide attempt today.

    I was at work (I'm a truck driver) driving through Bridgewater town centre when I noticed a paramedic and a policeman attempting to stop a bloke throwing himself off a bridge. He was balling his eyes out whilst clinging to the railings on the ROAD side of the bridge wearing swimming shorts (no shit) and a waterproof coat. Both the paramedic and the copper were keeping a respectful distance and making attempts to calm this wailing idiot down with little success by the looks of things. I was stopped at a light at the time and had a good view of the scene so I decided to grab my phone and take a photo only for the copper to tell me off and tell me to be on my way, so I did as I was told and drove on only to notice in my trucks mirrors that the bridge this twat was clinging to was only around 10 feet above the water! What a fucking loser.

    Anyone witnessed / heard of a more pathetic suicide attempt than that?

    Well he was wearing swimming trunks... Did no-one consider that maybe he just wanted to play in the river? Maybe police were atually persuading him to jump into the river, but he was too much of a pussy and started crying.

    Hahaha, yeah never considered that! If that was the case then I witnessed a fine piece of community policing and not some pathetic cry for help..

    A young dude attempted to jump off the cliff near one of the ww2 forts in Newcastle aus but misjudged his jumping spot only to land 15metres down breaking his right ankle and fracturing his left wrist
