The second one was on last night. Wasn't as good.
That's a shame. I'm not surprised though, by the preview.
Dead Set was more than enough of a solid statement about reality,
I'd imagine it could have been left there.
It was just a bit dull compared to the swine-centric story of The National Anthem. You're right, we've had plenty of 1984 dystopian rip-offs, it did offer a bit of a spin on the traditional format though.

Damn.. that was great....it wont take long before the fucking americans copy it and screw it all up. you cant humiliate a country that fucks the world up the arse.
I thought the second one ("15 Million Merits") was excellent but then again Im a big fan of Daniel Kaluuya, his awkward understated acting always cracks me up.

It was boring, didn't make any sense (he collected in 3 months as much points as his brother had collected in his whole life), not a single aspect of life in that world is explained, and I could tell that he was going to sell out 10 minutes before he even went there. Boring, predictable, didn't make much sense.
She was extremley cute and a joy to watch, kaluuya made me laugh and the undertones of nastyness appealed to my evil sense of humour, yes the plot was clumsy and predictable but the show displays a ton of promise.
