    Books anyone?

Just thinking does anyone here read books. Naturally we all listen to audiobooks from audible.com (don`t we?), but what about "real" books made of paper and shit. Or do you just watch bukkake pictures and midget porn all the time? I know that Bester reads his "The World History As Communists See It" Fantasy titles, but what about the rest of the gang? Is it Nietzsche or Niven, Bukowski or Ballard?

I personally do not read as much as I would want anymore because I have to be daddy most of the time, but when I do have the time almost anything goes. Favourite authors in no order: Bukowski, Philip K. Dick, Luke Rhinehart, Theodore Roszak, Jim Thompson, Henry Miller, Umberto Eco, Kerouac, H.P. Lovecraft... and fuck James Joyce the Boring Bastard!

I like Bukowski, Lovecraft, Phillip K Dick. Also Pahlaniuk, Stephen Kiing, William Gibson.

Since I started back up in school a couple years ago, my recreational reading has gone to near zero.

Am also a fan of Bukowski, Lovecraft, King and Palahniuk.
Right now Im on DeLillo (White Noise is really good)
    Just finished The Stand
And you know what... I might not be a fan of Palahniuk any more. Not to say I dont read everything he writes. I mean, the only time I buy Playboy is when hes in it... but Id just re-picked up Tell All- one I put down a while ago and you know Ill be damned if I still cant get through it.
Ive wanted so badly to get into PK Dick. His name always slips my mind at the book store. oh my GOD my dogs being a needy cunt and I have to go walk her...
    ... Okay...
After this one Im going to get Sour Candies, a book by a friend of a friend of mine (and also incredibly attractive) Apparently its a collection of short stories about pedophilia and other things that go on in gated communities. Its just coming out and he's pimping it in Chicago. But he's from LA. So Im kind of wondering, Ill give it a try and see how it goes but maybe if its good Our Boys might want to interview him. Jon Dambacher is his name. Anyway, we'll see.
And after that Im onto Jim Thompsons The Grifters and The Killer Inside Me.

Everyone who likes Palahniuk should check out Tom Spanbauer Tom Spanbauer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I read Spanbauer`s "The man who fell in love with the moon" and it was one of the best books that I have read in a long time. Only Palahniuk that I have read is "Choke". It was pretty damn good. Stephen King was one of my favourites as a kid, but haven`t read him for years. I just somehow got tired of his style. Anyone here read Richard Brautigan? I love his "The Hawkline Monster". I also enjoy listening his voice: In Watermelon Sugar - YouTube

I work in a bookstore, and am constantly surrounded by thousands of potentially good titles. A few that have caught my attention recently include Steig Larsson, Jo Nesbo and James Patterson. However, the classics such as Mary Shelley, Leo Tolstoy and F. Scott Fitzgerald still captivate me.

And I will confess, I still enjoy reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar...
On a scale of Jordan to Jewish, how tight are you?
