I was talking to a septic the other day who could not work out why the rest of the world didn't like Americans. I know the place is full of hard working, respectable and tolerant people, but this sort of stuff does kind of undermine the whole "America the great" bollocks. Killing the children of those you are supposed to be protecting, is always the way to win the hearts and minds of the population at large. They maybe brown and poor, but they are human beings.
I don't believe the reports of them running children over in their vehicle. If they were as cold hearted as they are reported to be, then I'm sure there'd be photos of that too. The idea of them driving through towns throwing sweeties for kids to chase after is just too far fetched for me.
i don't think they actually killed children by luring them with candy, the article said they were just talking/joking about it.

Every country has its psychopaths. If you look at history the US, and the West in general, it has used its power very responsibly and humanly. Yes, I know, saying they're the best countries is like saying they're the best looking Dennis waitresses, but has a fucking whole they've done a better job in holding power then the rest. Just read up on the history of the fallen superpowers of the past, the world is a better place not because time has naturally tamed the Aztecs, vagina hating terrorists, Japanese, Africans, etc, but its a better place cause the Western ideals of decency and human rights have spread around.
Besides, you do go fucking crazy in war. you have to dehumanize the enemy and laugh or you'll just blow your brains out. Not that its an excuse...
