When this babies are born, its obvious that they're fucked with a clit for a dick. Maths 'too hard for UK students and dons'

I hate to disagree with the Daily Mail, the most reliable news source, but that articles utter bullshit.

Maths is not difficult for students who actually study Maths. The problem is that for certain courses like Business, Universities will accept Economics (and other slightly mathematical courses) as a replacement for Maths. Economic students are only as intelligent as their calculator allows, honestly, they don't know shit. Thats the problem.

The problem lies not with the intelligence of Britain, which is increasing, but stupid admissions staff at Universities accepting Economic A-levels.

Some faculties, like "computer science" where I studied, historically inherited math, but do NOT need it, despite what some idiots say. Informatics were first introduced in math faculty in the 60s, but then grew and became independent, inheriting lots of things from the math faculty, since informatics weren't that developed and the hours had to be filled with something. Now, when there is a possibility to spend all the time on informatics, they still have to study math, physics, and other irrelevant bullshit like astronomy (i kid you not).
The only reason I stopped attending was because of math, despite the fact that I've always been the best at math at school and had good scores at belgian math olympics. This is simply not needed, too complicated, and very badly explained with close to none real life applications.

There is a business school in Belgium that is one of top-5 in Europe. Historically, the school was organized and funded by Solvay chemical factory, therefore they inherited chemistry and physics that are way too complicated because they started using those two branches to control the number of students, since there are no entry exams. So now they've got physics and chemistry that are so complicated, that 400 out of 500 can't pass it every year, which is ridiculous, it's a fucking business school.

That's my take on university education. I'm not gonna do it cause it doesn't respond to rational needs of anyone who'd be interested in it. Huge reforms are needed since we now have new technologies like the internet and courses can be broadcasted to your computer and you can watch the recording at any time that is convenient for you for example. And then there is the fact that everyone has their own pace, some might finish the 5 year program in 2 years without breaking a sweat. People waste years of their lives for no reason. Nobody wants to acknowledge the need of reforms in the approach, as well as technological reforms. The university education is stuck in 1960s.
