Cop lets 11 year old die?!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotat...n8M&feature=iv

Apparently for going down a one way street the wrong way, a cop stopped a car, trying to get to the ER, for 11 y/o who had asthma. And he joked that he didn't know CPR as the girl lay dying in the back seat?

What else would you expect? Don't set your expectations so high.

From my own personal experience of CPR and the 10 seconds I spent on google looking up asthma and CPR, I can confirm that CPR is not the holy grail. People just fucking die.

One thing I did learn in those 10 seconds was that if you are seriously asthmatic, then you carry an emergency device/inhaler/whatever so that you dont die and shatter your family.

    Everyday is a learning day.
Lead me not into temptation. I can find the way myself.

I thought as I watched the video, my mother had asthma, my wife has asthma, I know how to deal with an asthma attack. How the fuck does your child grow up with a condition and you don't learn how to abate the symptoms? I suppose it is easier to lose a child, give her a "full princess funeral, white coffin, white coach and two white horses pulling it" and get the compensation money, than LEARN how to deal with the disease.

I have children, I love them more than life, I would gladly die if it saved them. LEARN! If you bring a child into the world, it is your responsibility, LEARN to protect them, as far as you can. As Dilbert said, "people die" this is true, in fact this is certain, everybody dies, but if you can save one of your own or somebody who is not your own for that matter, for the sake of a few hours learning, is it worth those hours? ESPECIALLY if there is an underlying complaint? Take the time to protect against grief, (this is to the parents not the forum members) this is your fault! Be happy with the money, I would rather have my children, annoying little spongers that they are.

Again, sorry about the rant but people need to take responsibility for their actions......... Move along now, there is nothing to see here....... Ahemmm....Cough..,,. Cough... Blush

Not taking up for the parents, and I don't know anyone personally with asthma (at least i don't see anyone with an inhaler...they could be just tricking me!). anyway, but without actually knowing what went down that day, how do we know, her inhaler wasn't helping, or things they tried wasn't helping, and the ER was the only option? Sometimes things do get out of hand and people who went to school for this are your only option. (Or I guess you can be an ass and self doctor yourself on webmd and wear a white coat, or nurse uniform for the ladies, and pray it helps...it never does, webmd misdiagnoses all the time lazy website lol) Just saying, without being there...ya just never know...

And to Kitty, only thing I expect from cops, is to keep krispy kreme in business (or maybe Dunkin Donuts?)...
