They probably should have slammed the baby against the dishwasher and killed it instead. Since it was already ruined and all. Despite the fact that ferrets cost about 60 quid (+ another 75 for a decent cage) they actually only live for 10 years and don't cost a lot to feed, especially since they're such handy little scavengers! A ferret would still work out cheaper than a stubby special needs kid. Also, it would be way more fun. People just don't understand simple economics.
